Where is the printing industry headed? With more than 50 years in the business, industry guru Frank Romano is the perfect person to draw a roadmap for the future. Romano will be the first of two keynote speakers at Print World 2010 in Toronto, speaking on the second day of the show, Sunday Nov. 21.
Frank Romano's career has spanned 50 years in the printing and publishing industries. Many know him as the editor of the International Paper Pocket Pal, or have read one of the thousands of articles he has written. He is the author of 45 books, including the 10,000-term Encyclopedia of Graphic Communications (with Richard Romano), the standard reference in the field. He lectures extensively and was the principal researcher on the landmark EDSF study, Printing in the Age of the Web and Beyond. He has been quoted in many newspapers and publications, as well as on TV and radio, and is Professor Emeritus at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Well traveled throughout the printing industry, Romano has seen and studied it all, and will be bringing his incomparable experience and insights to Print World for the benefit of attendees.
Also speaking at a Print World keynote is Bob Young, CEO of pioneering print-on-demand site Lulu.com. With Young new to the print industry, and Romano an unrivalled veteran, Print World keynotes offer a one-two punch of both experience and new vision. Click here for more on Bob Young.
Both keynote addresses are free with Print World attendance, and run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Direct Energy Centre, home of Print World. The show opens at 10 a.m. immediately after the keynotes end.
