Esko brings the Kongsberg C24 cutting table to Print World
Shown for the first time, Esko is bringing the Kongsberg C24 finishing table with the lubri-cool tool that sprays vegetable oil to keep the substrate cool and assure a good clean cut, to Print World. Now, smaller sign shops that cannot afford both an X-Y and CNC table, can do almost all the work on one table.

Esko Kongsberg C24 with operator station

The Kongsberg C24 table keeps up with the faster, wider printers for signage, display and packaging applications. The innovative carbon fiber traverse of 3.2 m makes the Kongsberg C24 uniquely equipped for high speeds and fast acceleration. Its rigid quality makes it possible to maintain a consistent accuracy on all materials. It also minimizes deflection when carrying heavy tooling or creasing with high down-force. The C24 is the only super-wide finisher with a 3kW continuous duty high-performance milling unit. The intuitive, i-cut production console user interface enables straightforward and efficient operation.

Also on the Esko booth, check out the following:
  • The automation engine Avant, a new software bundle that contains wide format workflow automation including preflighting, file editing, adding cutting paths and optimal nesting on a sheet. The Avant bundles with Esko's new Device Manager. This software is used to communicate job status and help to manage jobs based on cutting time and material.
  • Studio 3D lets designers create 3D visuals to show clients, ranging from PDF files with 3D content to movies, hero shots or a virtual pack shot. Check for mistakes before making printing plates, embossing dies or varnish blankets.
  • Store Visualizer lets people see and touch virtual stores. The result is an extremely realistic way to view products on a store shelf. Create a virtual retail environment and see new designs on the shelf next to the competition; present a complete product launch in 3D, including retail-ready packaging, displays and other branded items. It is easy for users to navigate a highly realistic virtual store, and interact with the packaging—even allowing the user to pick up an item from the shelf.
  • ArtiosCAD lets designers create packaging designs in 3D. With dedicated tools specifically designed for structural design, product development, virtual prototyping and manufacturing. ArtiosCAD creates a variety of 3D models of common packaging products like cans, bottles, glasses and bags. These product models support parametric design, allowing users to resize a single model to create a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
  • Cape Pack, a solution for packaging design, pallet load optimization and supply chain profitability, offers customizable reports that contain interactive 3D views of logistics solutions and are stored in the cloud for easy sharing among all stakeholders.
